No wonder, brands are trying all sorts of “innovative” ways – from organizing quizes on Twitter to offering freebies for retweets – to get their #hashtags on to Twitter trends. And it seems to be working for them as well. At the time of writing time, the Trending Topics for Delhi had at least 3 hashtags have been artificially pushed to the list.</span></div>

Twitter, by default, shows 10 trending topics on their website for a specific location and you do not have an option to disable these hashtags based trends. However, if you request the same trending data through the <a href="https://dev.twitter.com/docs/api/1.1/get/trends/place" style="color: black; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">Twitter API</a>, you can choose to exclude hashtags and other promoted trends and have a more “organic” list of trending topics.</span></div>

The iOS trick however won’t work on Android but there exist even simple workarounds in the form of apps. The Google Play store has several apps that support background playback thus letting you use YouTube as a music player. I did try them all and here are my favorites:</div>

The <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nobeid.uListenLite" style="color: black; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">uListen</a> app has a simple interface and minimal features which is what I like most about this app. Just use the search button to find videos and playlists on YouTube and hit the play button. You can also tap and hold a search result to favorite it or to add it to your playlist. uListen doesn’t link to your YouTube account and all your playlists and favorites are saved locally.</div>

Then there are apps like <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrzheng.supertubeplayer" style="color: black; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">SuperTube</a> and <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.Mata.YTplayer" style="color: black; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">Viral</a> that more like clones of the official YouTube app except that they also let you watch or play YouTube videos while in the background. You can create local playlists or connect these apps to your main YouTube account and access your <a href="http://ctrlq.org/youtube/playlists/" style="color: black; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">playlists</a>, watch later queue and favorites. Another handy feature is that you can do a vertical swipe on the video to increase or decrease the volume.</div>

Both Viral and SuperTube offer a floating video player which essentially means that you can pull out a YouTube video and place it over any other app. It’s like the Picture-In-Picture effect – you can read the New York Times in the browser and watch a movie on YouTube simultaneously. I prefer SuperTube more since it lets you choose a different video in the queue from the floating player itself.</div>

A major downside of the previously mentioned uListen app is that it doesn’t offer autocomplete mode so you have to the type the entire search terms manually for relevant results. <a href="https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=tw.com.freedi.youtube.player&hl=en" style="color: black; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;" target="_blank">YT Player</a>, another free YouTube audio player, fixes that problem. It pulls in <a href="http://www.labnol.org/internet/youtube-search/19261/" style="color: black; margin: 0px; outline: none; padding: 0px;">search suggestions</a> from YouTube and you can search for videos, playlists or even channels. If you prefer apps with slightly bigger fonts, you will probably like this one even more.<br />

In this concept the Samsung Galaxy S5 is thinner than the S4 and looks, to our eyes, a little more like the often-forgotten Google Nexus S. It also has a curved display, a new innovation seen in the Galaxy Round and LG's G Flex and one which Apple is also apparently adopting with the iPhone 6, if rumours are to be believed. Maric imagines the Galaxy S5, if it does use this design, will be similarly sized to the Galaxy S4 but continue Samsung's trick of squeezing a larger display into the same space, specifically a 5.25-inch panel.</div>

The Krait 400 processor involved is clocked at 2.5GHZ, a boost from the standard 2.3GHz.</div>

Samsung’s flagship phones could soon include a 20MP camera. This comes as something of a surprise as previous rumours suggested the Galaxy S5 would feature a 16MP setup. According to the report, for OIS to be possible in this scenario Samsung would need to find 50 million suspension mechanisms which are not available yet. For this reason it’s likely the 20MP sensor won’t be ready until the second half of 2014, meaning it wont appear in handsets until 2015. Obviously all of this will miss the Galaxy S5's rumoured Q1 2014 launch.</div>

As the centuries-old adage goes, anything Apple can do, Samsung can do better. That means following Apple's debut of fingerprint scanning with the iPhone 5S -- and HTC’s similar move with the HTC One Max -- the company is breaking out an eye scanner for the Galaxy S5. Well, according to rumour anyway.</div>

And even if the eye scanner technology isn't developed in time to reach the Galaxy S5, the patent indicates we might be seeing a VERY exciting new addition to the Galaxy Note 4 or Galaxy S6.</div>
